Heat Exchange
Double-tube heat exchangers are widely used in oil refining, chemical and pharmaceutical production, and food processing. They consist of an inner tube arranged in multiple passes and enclosed within an outer shell, with separate inlets and outlets for each fluid. One fluid flows through the inner tube while the other flows through the shell, allowing heat to transfer across the tube wall without the fluids coming into direct contact. Typically supported by a metal frame and manufactured from stainless steel, these heat exchangers can be configured to achieve different temperature profiles and heat-transfer performance.
